The 2025 Southern Hickory Classic

Welcome to the Southern Hickory Classic, formerly known at the Southern Hickory Four-Ball Championship.

“Going forward, the Alabama Hickory Golfers, and the Mississippi Hickory Golfers are working tirelessly to make the 23rd Annual event the best ever,” mentioned Rob Keeling, Founder of the Alabama Hickory Golfers.

We have selected “The Fields Golf Club” in La Grange, Georgia.

This was the original site for “The Woody” Golf Tournament. We felt that we would wait and play The Fields on the 25th Anniversary… but why wait? We played the course this week and it is in Good Shape… and a Lot of FUN to PLAY.

The Date is April 2 – 4, 2025

We are working on Final Pricing, will be announced very shortly…

The Southern Hickory Classic is a “Limited Field Event” of 72 players

REMEMBER: No Handicap Needed – Flights will be set after the first round of play.

The Classic Four-Ball Format will be use traditional four-ball scoring. After the first round, the two-person teams will be flighted into groups of 8 teams per flight giving you a better change to score some bling for your teams efforts.

We’ll start the week off, with a special
9-hole Gutty event. This will be played Wednesday afternoon starting at 3 to 4 PM. The Gutty fans will enjoy the extra event. NO CLUBS… we can pair up and share with a couple extra sets.

The “New” unique element is being added to the event in 2025. The normal four-ball format will be played with the two-person teams… but there will be an invitational side of “The Woody. Your individual score will count toward an individual Stroke Play Invitational. Individuals will be flighted in the groups of 6 for the final day… but you will still be playing with your original partners.

That is what Hickory Golf is to many players…
and that is our Goal for 2025

Sign up now… with no firm commitment until we finalize our pricing. If you aren’t happy with the price… we will remove your name from the list.
