I can say without hesitation that my introduction to Newton Golf shafts changed the way I look at equipment — and it all started with two people: Angelo Papadourakis and Aki Yorihiro.

Once they put Newton on my radar, I started digging deeper. That’s when I learned Newton had become the No. 1 selling shaft for drivers and fairway woods at Club Champion in 2025 — a huge statement, considering how many shafts pass through their fitting bays. Fitters trust what performs, and clearly Newton was delivering.
When I finally got my hands on a Newton shaft, the difference was immediate. The feel was smoother, the load was more natural, and the ball flight tightened up in a way I didn’t have to force. It felt like the shaft was working with my swing instead of asking me to adjust to it.
