False Pretenses is the first novel by Michael Wayne Jamison, who spent 16 years as a reporter and editor in the Knight-Ridder Newspaper chain. He worked for properties in Charlotte, Boca Raton and Miami. He later co-founded the International Network of Golf, a 34-year-old media-based networking organization of which he is still Executive Director. He also, with wife Linda, operates Jamison Golf Group, a public and media relations firm specializing in the golf industry.
