Records May Change Again at the Chubb Classic.

By: Bill “The GolfFather” Cuebas – January 31, 2024 – Naples, Florida

No Small Task for the defending Chubb Champion, as Bernhard Langer seeks to change the Champions Record Book again.

Imagine my excitement as I attended the 2024 Chubb Classic presented by Servpro – Virtual Media Day, via a Zoom meeting today.

Bernhard Langer – 2023 Chubb Classic Champion

Those attending were excited to get to listen to some strong phycological and connection between Bernhard Langer and Tiburón Golf Club… and then ask questions of the Defending Chubb Champion about his plans and preparation for the Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO.

Bernhard will pursue a “Three-Peat” of the Chubb Classic. Combine that with a five-time Chubb Classic champion, 46-time PGA TOUR Champions winner in attendance.

First hole of the final round in 2023 – Bernhard found his tee shot next to the cart path inches away. No drop involved… focus and put his second shot pin-high 10-feet right of the flag for a possible birdie

2024 represents the 37th Chubb Classic which has been held in Naples, Florida. It also needs mentioning that the 2024 Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO represents the 26th year Chubb Insurance has been the title sponsor. Making Chubb the longest running continuous sponsor on the PGA TOUR Champions schedule.

The Chubb Classic will be played from February 16th through the 18th on the Black Course at the Tiburón Golf Club. With a field of 78 players which includes Defending Champion, Bernhard Langer, Steve Stricker, and the debut of Davis Love lll, all competing for the $1.8 million dollars purse.

Steve Stricker playing hard on the 2023 Chubb Classic will return in 2024. Who will be on Steve’s bag this year?

The final field competitors will be set on Friday, February 9. at 5PM EST. I should probably name drop – David Duval, and Tom Lehman are expected to commit and join the field of competitors competing for the Chubb Championship.

I am looking forward to attending the 2024 Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO, where Mr. Langer will be trying for the Three-peat!! But that’s not all folks… if he wins it will be his 6th time winning the Chubb! With the victory he will tie Hale Irwin’s record of 6 wins at the Turtle Bay Championship in Kahuku, Hawaii. Talk about a “no pressure situation,” adding a lot of excitement for the spectators during the Chubb.

There is still time to get tickets for the Chubb Championship. Head on over to Chubb Classic and get yours!!! If you are planning a trip to the Naples, Marko Island, Everglades a.k.a. Florida’s Paradise CoastClick Here is a great way to start planning.
